Douglas Rudolph- President, CEO, CFO, Partner
Doug Rudolph has been in the restaurant business in South Florida for over 35 years. As the original and exclusive franchisee for Wendy’s Restaurants in Dade County, Mr. Rudolph developed, owned and operated 23 Wendy’s restaurants in the South Florida area. Upon selling the holding company for the Wendy’s franchise, he created and developed the Rudy’s Sirloin Steakburgers concept under the name of Rudy’s Restaurant Group. Mr. Rudolph took Rudy’s public on the NASDAQ Exchange upon acquisition of the Samurai Restaurant chain. He later acquired the Kyoto Japanese Restaurant chain and sold the entire public company to Benihana. Mr. Rudolph will be responsible for overseeing financing, expansion, and development of the entire Tap 42 brand.
Andy Yeager – Chief Operating Officer, Partner
Andy Yeager brings 13 years of executive hospitality management experience to the table. Mr. Yeager started out in Long Island, New York with the Hillstone Restaurant Group (dba Houston’s, Bandera, Gulfstream), quickly becoming the company’s youngest General Manager at the age of 25. In his ten year career with Hillstone, he worked for all of their concepts, ending his tenure as the General Manager of Houston’s in North Miami Beach. Mr. Yeager succeeded in taking Houston’s from $9.7 million in annual revenue to $12.7 million in his third year. Mr. Yeager is the principal of Yeager Management Group (YMG), which owned “Mister Collins”. He had been doing business in the One Bal Harbour Resort & Spa from 2011 until the hotel was taken over by the Ritz Carlton in 2014. At the resort, YMG erased a million dollar Food and Beverage operations deficit in just 18 months and turned a profit for the ownership entity of the hotel. Mr. Yeager joined Tap 42 in 2012 as the Director of Operations and will be running day to day operations of the new restaurants with his hand-selected team.
Andrew Balick – Culinary Director, Partner
Andrew Balick is currently the Culinary Director for TapCo Restaurant Group and heads up the kitchen at Tap 42 and Cult Taco. Mr. Balick worked as the sous chef of Michelin award winning Azul, located in the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in South Beach, Florida. He continued his career in the private sector at Pied A Terre and The Ritz Carlton hotels in South Beach and Fort Lauderdale before joining the Tap 42 team. Mr. Balick is a results proven leader with an exceptional management style and great culinary connections in the area. These connections will prove useful with execution, fiscal results, and future management candidates for TapCo’s endeavors.
Alex Rudolph- VP of Development, Partner
Alex Rudolph is currently the Vice President of Development for TapCo Restaurant Group, where he focuses on the real estate and business development aspects of the Tap 42 brand expansion. Upon graduating from Babson College with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Mr. Rudolph developed his knowledge of the restaurant business as a Manager for Hillstone Restaurant Group at their locations in both New York City (Hillstone), and East Hampton (East Hampton Grill). He then returned to South Florida to partner with the Tap 42 team in their quest for expansion.
Blaise McMackin: VP of Design, Partners
Blaise and Sean McMackin are the visionaries behind the Tap 42 brand. Their combined eye for architecture and design has proven to be a competitive advantage within the hospitality segment in Fort Lauderdale. The McMackin’s will lead the design and construction phase through completion before handing the reigns over to the Tap 42 operations team.
